In addition to endless possibilities for outdoor adventures in our Blue Ridge Mountains, Banner Elk has a very popular greenway and park in the downtown area.
In 2022 the Town completed a Parks and Recreation Plan. This Parks & Recreation Plan was developed with the dual purpose of providing direction for the Town of Banner Elk to make informed decisions regarding parks and recreation that support and uplift the interests of its residents and stakeholders as well as to better position the Town to qualify for grant funding for future park and recreation improvements.
